Mathildenhöhe Darmstadt UNESCO Application

Color code for a the world cultural heritage application in Darmstadt

On the occasion of the application for the UNESCO world cultural heritage, the art nouveau area Mathildenhöhe in Darmstadt, Germany, receives a visual identity. All residing institutions get connected by one consistent appearance.

We developed the unique color code for the visual identity based on five primary colors that appear frequently among the art nouveau area Mathildenhöhe.

The chromatic circle offers a multitude of shades to be used in the visual identity from color temperature to tonal value. It adds up to the overall visual identiy developed by a group of students of the University of applied scienced Darmstadt.
